Harvey Schecter, D.O.

With over 35 years of experience, Dr. Schecter is a Board Certified Family Physician with expertise in general medicine, acupuncture, physical medicine, diving medicine, and osteopathic manipulation. Drawing from his years of experience as a practitioner, Dr. Schecter is able to successfully treat a variety of ailments and conditions that have not responded to standard medical treatment.

Dr. Schecter is a D.A.N. (Divers Alert Network) physician with over 1000 hours of diving medical training.

Dr. Schecter is also a FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner (AME) for class 1,2 and 3 physicals.

Dr. Schecter completed his medical school training at Midwestern University graduating with honors and was the president of Sigma Sigma Phi National Scholastic Honor Society.

Dr. Schecter has served as adjunct clinical faculty member at Emory University School of Medicine and at the Georgia campus of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

In addition, Dr. Schecter was one of the first medical doctors to be approved in acupuncture in Georgia and helped formulated the acupuncture regulations for the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners.Dr. Schecter has a long-standing history of collaboration with some of Atlanta’s best neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, sports medicine physicians, and pain management specialists.
