Dr. Booker is a graduate of Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Georgia Baptist Medical Center in Atlanta and her chief residency year at Saint Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. She practiced Ob-Gyn for 13 years and served as Department Chair at Southside Medical Center, the largest community health center in the Southeast.

To expand her scope of practice, Dr. Booker completed a second residency in Family Medicine at Morehouse School of Medicine. She was appointed Assistant Professor and Director of the Maternal Child Health Division and later went on to Gwinnett Medical Center, where she helped to found the Family Medicine residency program.

Dr. Booker’s passion centers on helping the next generation navigate their way to a career in medicine. She serves as an adjunct Professor at Morehouse School of Medicine and at the Georgia campus of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She founded Hampton University’s Pre Medical/Alumni Advisory Panel, bringing together learners and alumni for mentorship and networking. Her appointment to Morehouse’s Admissions Committee in 2024 is one of her proudest moments. During her tenure as faculty at Morehouse School of Medicine, she was honored as an Honorary Class Member and Graduation Marshal by multiple classes. On Class Day annually, she provides scholarships to Morehouse graduates, acknowledging the level of excellence they have achieved.

Dr. Booker believes that community service through volunteerism is an important part of being a medical professional. She has volunteered at the Truth’s Clinic in Lawrenceville, Georgia, since 2014, where she began the Women’s Health program, providing contraception and menopause care to Gwinnett County’s most needy. In 2025, she was named to the Board of the Georgia Healthy Family Alliance, which provides statewide funding for physician innovators serving the underserved.

In August 2026, Dr. Booker joined the Reagan Medical family, bringing her years of healthcare experience, compassionate approach, and commitment to patient care to the team.

Outside of medicine, her favorite titles are Grandmommy, world traveler, and avid crocheter. She has three beloved grown children and two delightful grandsons. She is also the #1 bestselling Amazon author of 71 Days: A Caregiver’s Guide, sharing her journey with her late husband’s terminal cancer. She is now dedicated to healing through grief and overall wellness.
